Where Rice and Salt MingleWhere Rice and Salt Mingle

Geoje Island is one of South Korea's most beautiful landscapes where lush green, densely forested mountains meet rocky shores. This photo is extremely striking, immediately your eye takes in the dark angry skyline with fleeting glimpses of a golden hue outlining the edges of the clouds, with the sun trying to break through the cloudless sectors creating rays of light reaching towards the earth as though they were fingers.

The high mountains from the left looks as though it is pushing itself forwards to collide with what looks to be a calm sea. From the sea bringing you eye back you see the Korean houses embraced in the lea of the mountain range clashing with the man-made paddy fields which over time has given it a natural appearance. On the right in contrast are the hard lines of the main road sweeping round to the right and leading the eye into the distance. A truly wonderful example of man and nature together in harmony. .

A Korean girl blissfully playing in a water park in Gumi, South Korea. This photo is a fantastic example of being in the right place at the right time, your eye is taken straight away to the beautiful child centrally placed in the photo. It is easy to see she is enjoying the cooling effect of the water fountain just by the expression on her face.

The plumes of water erupting up from an unknown source bubbling and frothing is the highlight of the backdrop, seeing an element of nature being twisted for the pleasure of summer. Greg is a very talented photographer the composition of this photo is perfect.

These photos will be printed in A3 put into picture frames and raffled off at the A Night Under The Stars Benefit Concert on the 4th July @ 7pm location Demitasse coffee, Seogok Village in Jeonju.

How many street children are there in the Ukraine?

[ Answer? ] No one knows how many street kids there are in Ukraine or any of the cities because, unfortunately there has still not been any real research done on this,A child registered at a home or shelter under one name often runs away and comes back using a different name. One kid was picked up and taken to the same home 13 times. Officials estimate that about 103,000 kids were institutionalized in Ukraine in 2007, and last summer, police announced that they were going to step up the collection of homeless children and teens. Problem with this policy is that most children end up in adult prisons.
